At Home Newborn Session

I just love photographing newborns. It has got to be one of favorite kinds of sessions. Don't get me wrong, newborn sessions are a lot of work! It takes a lot of patience! ;) But it's also one of the most peaceful and joyful sessions too. Everyone is just so happy, in love and full of joy with this sweet, precious baby. One of those things that just makes me heart so happy! :)

Remember a month and a half ago when I photographed momma to be Brittany? I thought she was going to go into labor by the end of the session! But little Hayden waited a little longer for his arrival. He was such a little pumpkin. It was hard not to pack him up and take him home with me! ;) I have been dying to get back into newborn photography and his session just gave me a million reasons why I should! I can't wait to photograph this family again in the future. (They have a beautiful willow tree in their backyard in the perfect spot for some golden hour sun and horses in the background..seriously it's picture perfect.) Without further a do..Mr. Hayden. <3

In-Home Maternity Session

I got to photograph another mama to be this weekend! Brittany is on bed rest until her little peanut, Hayden, gets here. However, we got her up for a few shots (her idea!) ;). Her contractions were 8 minutes apart, we were waiting for the little guy to make his appearance during the shoot! But she sure was a trooper and her pictures turned out so cute! I love the warm, homey feel to them with her husband and daughter involved in them. The idea of taking pictures in your home where all your memories are being made just melts my heart. Here is just a little sneak preview of Brittany's maternity session!

These next two pictures, I am giving credit to Brittany's mom! It was her idea and I think they are my favorite from the session! Adorbs!

I can't wait until Hayden gets here to photograph him too!

Boho Maternity

What a great session to start the new year! Honestly, two words could describe this maternity session: holy pretty. This mama to be is such a brave one for bearing the cold. I'm not sure I could have done it myself! Sarah is due in March with her son, Paxton and guess who gets to photograph that precious baby? :) She totally rocked her session and that flower crown!
